Hundreds of Jewish Elders live in 26 Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes throughout Metrowest.
Kesher helps them maintain their connection to  the Jewish community.  Every Friday, Cantor Jeff Stock leads Shabbat services in area nursing homes and assisted living facilities.  Volunteer with Cantor Jeff and through JFS’ Kesher program, you can give someone the opportunity to:

• light Shabbat candles
• attend a Jewish service, possibly their first in years
• celebrate holidays
• study Torah
• say Kaddish for a loved one
• sing favorite melodies
• meet other Jews

Each volunteer makes a difference. Families with children are encouraged to participate. Kesher is committed to the belief that no Jewish elder living in a residential facility should feel alone.
