Jewish Family Service of Metrowest (JFS/MW) was founded in 1979 as an information and referral service for elders.
It was supported by the local Jewish community and staffed entirely by volunteers. A quarter-century later, we are a comprehensive multi-service agency, responding to the evolving needs of Jewish and non-Jewish individuals and families in the Metrowest community. Our roots are anchored in professional social work, citizen participation, volunteerism, and a commitment to finding solutions to the daily challenges faced by our clients and their families.
JFS/MW clients reach across all ethnic, religious, economic, and generational lines. Our services are provided on a non-sectarian and sliding fee scale basis and no clients are denied services for economic reasons.
The JFS/MW Board of Directors has always actively supported the the organization with vitality and passion. Nearly 200 volunteers are involved each year, and collaborations with other agencies play a significant role.
