VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT JFS:

Visit an isolated elder:

Visit an elderly or disabled person! Provide transportation or help with errands, or just chat.  You can visit as an individual or as a family.

Tutor 3-5th graders:

The All Star Club supports third and fourth graders -- many of whom are English Language Learners (their native language is Portuguese) - -in English, math, homework and enrichment activities.

Female volunteers talented in math and science are needed for the Wizards, an academic after-school program for fifth-grade girls in Framingham.

Share your skills with a family in need:

Many of the clients in our Family Assistance Program are in need of some help that does not require money but time.  Some very common examples are help with some small repairs to a home or help with money management and budget planning.  Maybe you have a skill that one of our clients could use to help them get back on their feet.

Improve the health and well being of elders:

Healthy Partners delivers a primary prevention approach to health and well-being. Volunteer to lead exercise classes, arts and crafts, music groups or help with data collection.  Share your special interests with the group.

Annual Campaign and Seas the Dream:

Work with a group of volunteers on a variety of tasks for Annual Campaign, Annual gala and other fund raising activities.

Assist the JFS of Metrowest office:

Help us with the nuts and bolts of running the agency!
