LUCY AND JOE PRESS FOOD PANTRY

Metrowest has a great need for donated food and food distribution. Among those Massachusetts residents whose income is below the federal poverty line, more than three-quarters receive food assistance, according to a report released in 2006 by the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Named in honor of philanthropist Joe Press and his wife Lucy, this food pantry provides food to frail elders and families in need in our community to meet basic nutritional needs. In partnership with schools, synagogues and other community agencies, it organizes collection drives and welcomes donations from individuals as well. Call for more info.
